Done in a Day

The Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) proudly supports the efforts of our Done-In-A-Day (DIAD) partners with volunteer support for community events.  Participants assist with various community service projects within JLC priority zip codes focusing on the mental and physical health needs of children from kindergarten to fifth grade.

Unlike our Community Partner program, volunteers commit their time to event-based and one-time volunteering opportunities such as food bank distribution, holiday parties, egg hunts, 10K water distribution, and more.

Volunteer placements are scheduled in four-to-six-hour shifts over a typical time span of a day.

Applicants are encouraged to make multiple requests throughout each application cycle and the year. For each shift and/or project, please submit a separate application. We will review all requests and arrange volunteer commitments with nonprofit organizations where we feel we can best be of service. Projects impacting children, kindergarten to fifth grade and in our priority zip codes, will be given preference, but others are not excluded.
