Already a member of the Junior League, but new to the Charlotte area? We would love to have you join the Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC)!

What to Expect as a Transfer

Transfers to the Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) must first contact their “home” League and request a transfer to the JLC. Your current League will begin the paperwork with AJLI to initiate the transition.

Once the paperwork is completed and forwarded to the JLC, you will be sent a welcome letter and information with the next steps. We will share information about dues payment, if applicable, and our Transfer Program, which is designed to acclimate new members to the League. Once payment is confirmed, you will be able to participate in activities with the Transfer group and JLC.

New members who have transferred in by August 30th are placed in the fall transfer class, while new members who transfer after August 30th, are placed in the spring transfer class. You will be connected with a transfer advisor who will help connect you with other transfers at monthly socials, education events, and volunteer opportunities planned throughout the year.

Are You Moving Away from Charlotte?

If you are a current or past member of the Junior League of Charlotte and would like to transfer your membership to a League in another city, please fill out our Transfer Request Form. Past members no longer need to reinstate their membership before transferring Leagues.
